giving of hand and arm signals.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Section 175 of Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code
of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-
title "Operation of Motor Vehicles Upon Highways", be and
it is hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to
read as follows:
175. (Method of Giving Hand and Arm Signals. ) All sig-
nals herein required given by hand and arm shall be given
from the left side of the vehicle in the following manner and
such signals shall indicate as follows:
(1) (Left Turn. ) Pull over to center. Point hand straight
to left, hold hand still several seconds.
(2) (Eight Turn. ) Pull over to right. Signal the driver
in back of you to "COME ON AHEAD", by hand and arm ex-
tended upward, hand held still several seconds.
(3) (Stop or Slow. ) Drop hand toward ground, with palm
to rear, hold hand still several seconds.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1949.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
92(a), 94, 95(c), (d), (e), 98 and 102 of Article 66 1/2 of
the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Supplement), title
"Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—Registration
—Titling", authorizing the Department of Motor Vehicles
to refuse to issue license for the operation of motor ve-
hicles, under certain conditions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 92(a), 94, 95(c), (d), (e), 98 and 102 of
Article 66 1/2 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1947 Sup-
plement), title "Motor Vehicles", sub-title "Administration—
Registration—Titling", be and they are hereby repealed and
re-enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
