tuted and dedicated streets, roads, avenues and alleys of
the Town of Rockville.

(d) All persons residing within the territory annexed
to the Town of Rockville by Section 982B shall be eligible
to register and vote in all municipal elections and shall be
treated as duly qualified voters of the Town as prescribed
by Section 984 of this Article. For the purposes of this
Section, every person who has resided within the territory
so annexed for one year next preceding any town election
shall be deemed to have met the residence qualifications
fixed by said Section 984,

982E. (a) The powers conferred upon the Mayor and
Council of Rockville by Sections 1053 to 1061, inclusive, of
this Article to adopt and administer zoning regulations
and restrictions are hereby made applicable to the territory
added to the Town of Rockville by Section 982B. In case
any portion of said territory has heretofore been subject
to the zoning regulations and restrictions of any other
public authority, the use, height and area classifications
prescribed by such other authority shall continue in full
force and effect following the transfer of zoning jurisdic-
tion accomplished hereby but, pursuant to the powers con-
ferred by Section 1057 of this Article, the Mayor and Coun-
cil of Rockville shall have the power to change, modify or
amend the boundaries of any such use, height or area dis-
tricts in the manner prescribed by said Section 1057, and
any changes made by the Mayor and Council of Rockville
in its zoning regulations and restrictions shall hereafter be
applicable to the portion of the area added to the Town by
Section 982B which has heretofore been subjected to the
zoning control above described.

(b) The Mayor and Council of Rockville shall have full
power and authority to make zoning classifications and
establish use, height and area districts in any portion of
the area annexed to the Town by said Section 982B which
has not heretofore been subjected to zoning regulation and
control by any other public authority. All such classifica-
tions, regulations and restrictions so made applicable shall
be such as shall be uniform with respect to all property in
the Town. In order to establish the boundaries of any new
use, height or area districts to be established as herein
provided, the Mayor and Council of Rockville shall adopt
the procedure outlined in Sections 1056 and 1058 of
this Article.

SECTION 2. And be it further enacted, that if any sec-
tion, word, phrase, clause, sentence or other part or parts
