System, ". said new section to be known as Section 3A
and to follow immediately after Section 3 of said Article,
providing for the inclusion of the Probation Officer of
the Traffic Court of Baltimore City in the Merit System.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That a new section be and it is hereby added to Article 64A
of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1939 Edition), title
"Merit System, " said new section to be known as Section
3A, to follow immediately after Section 3 of said Article,
and to read as follows:
3A. On or after June 1, 1945, the Chief Magistrate of
the Traffic Court of Baltimore City shall certify to the
Commissioner of State Employment and Registration the
name of the person presently employed in the position of
Probation Officer of the Traffic Court of Baltimore City,
with the salary being paid, and said Commissioner is here-
by directed to classify said employee as "Probation Officer,
Traffic Court, " without further examination or restriction,
and said employee shall thereafter be entitled to all the
rights and privileges, and subject to all the provisions of
Article 64A. Thereafter all appointments to such position
shall be made in conformity with Article 64A of the Anno-
tated Code.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1945.

AN ACT to add eight new sections to Article 73B of the
Annotated Code of Maryland (1943 Supplement), title
"Pensions, " to be under sub-title "Employees of Munici-
pal Corporations, " said new sections to be known as
Sections 17 to 24, inclusive, and to follow immediately
after Section 16 of said Article, providing for the inclu-
sion of employees of municipal corporations, as herein
defined, in the Employees' Retirement System of the
State of Maryland and prescribing the conditions for
such inclusion.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland,
That eight new sections be and they are hereby added to
