than ten days' written notice to such person or organization
specifying the alleged violation.

13. (Constitutionality. ) If any section, sub-section, sub-
division, paragraph, sentence or clause of this Act is held in-
valid or unconstitutional, such decision shall not affect the
remaining portions of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect on January 1, 1946.

CHAPTER 928.
(House Bill 687)

AN ACT to authorize and empower the Board of Regents of
the University of Maryland to acquire land and other prop-
erty, and to authorize the Board of Public Works to allocate
such funds for this purpose as the Board of Public Works
may deem necessary.

WHEREAS, there are provided in the Post-War construction
funds for the University of Maryland, monies for the erection
of buildings in Baltimore for which no land is presently avail-
able; and

WHEREAS, additional lands are needed for campus, farming
and construction purposes at College Park and at Princess
Anne; now, therefore

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Regents of the University of Mary-
land is hereby empowered and authorized to acquire by pur-
chase, lease or condemnation the following tracts of land and
properties in College Park and in Baltimore:

IN COLLEGE PARK: That tract of land bounded on the south
and west by University property, bound on the north by the
Lakeland Road, and bounded on the east by the street car
line, consisting of twenty-five acres, more or less, and being
commonly known as a part of the Newman Estate;

IN BALTIMORE: All those properties not now owned by the
State in the block bounded by Redwood, Lombard, Green and
Penn Streets.
