CHAPTER 301.

CHAP. 302.

AN ACT to authorise Thomas B. Sherman of Dor-
chester county, to construct a wharf on Indian
creek in said county.

5, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Thomas B. Sherman, of Dor-
chester county, be and he is hereby authorised to
build a wharf on the North side of Indian creek In
Dorchester county, and charge reasonable wharfage
fees for the use thereof, and he may extend the said
wharf far enough into the said creek, for steam-
boats and vessels to lay at the same, at lower water
mark; Provided, such wharf shall not interfere
with the navigation of said stream.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall
take effect from the day of its passage.

CHAPTER 302.

In force.

AN ACT entitled, an act to amend the twelfth
article of the Public Local Laws, by repealing
the ninety-second and one hundred and eleventh
sections, relating to printing, and to substitute
the following on that subject.

5, 1860.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That whenever the said commissioners
shall deem it expedient, that any of the public
roads in said county shall be resurveyed, they shall
appoint three persons not interested nor holding
lands through which said road may pass, and the
persons so appointed or a majority of them, after
giving thirty days notice thereof, shall meet on the
premises and resurvey and mark and bound such
public road, according to the best evidence they can
obtain of the location thereof, either by the exami-
nation of witnesses or by reference to former sur-
veys, or by personal inspection of such road, and
in the absence of other sufficient and satisfactory
evidence, the said examiners are authorised to adopt
