CHAP. 292.

road or route to make and construct a good and
substantial gravel road.

Right to con-
nect with
other roads.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That said Towson-
town Plank Road Company, shall have the right,
subject to such general regulations as the mayor
and city council of Baltimore, shall from time to
time establish and ordain for the government of
passenger railroads within the limits of said city
of Baltimore of connecting with any other rail-
ways or roads which are now or may be hereafter
constructed, and if said Towsontown Plank Road
Company, and the company or companies owning
any road with which it shall so connect should fail
to agree upon a fair compensation for such right
or the use thereof, then each shall appoint one dis-
interested person, and the two thus appointed shall
select a third disinterested person, and the three
thus appointed or selected, shall determine on the
terms or compensation on which said Towson-
town Plank Road Company, shall connect with

and use as aforesaid such other road or roads; Pro-
vided, however, said Towsontown Plank Road Com-
pany, shall be restricted in the right to connect
with and use as aforesaid to such roads as are now
or may hereafter be constructed north of Bait more
street in the said city of Baltimore.

capital stock

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That to enable said
company to carry into full effect the provisions of
this act, it may and is hereby authorised to in-
crease its capital stock two hundred thousand dol-
lars above its present capital, and if it should be
found necessary said company shall have the right
and is hereby vested with the power to raise money
by means of a loan and for that purpose may mort-
gage the road, property and franchise for any sum
not exceeding one hundred thousand dollars, and to
issue bonds secured by said mortgage payable at
such time as the stockholders of said company may
determine, and bearing interest not exceeding six
per cent, and said company shall be authorised
to sell or dispose of said bonds on any terms which
the stockholders may deem expedient.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That if said com-
pany should deem it necessary and proper, they
shall have power to change the location of said
road as authorised by the original act to which
