duly executed and recorded in Liber S. T. W., No.
4, folios 262 and 263, one of the land record-books
of Queen Anne's county, containing one-half acre
of land, more or less, at private or public sale,
and for cash or on credit, as to them may seem
best, and the proceeds of sale, when received, after
deducting the necessary expenses of sale, to apply
in the purchase of another building lot and the
erection thereon of a house of public worship.

CHAP. 261.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the said trustees
named in the first section of this act and their suc-
cessors in office, or a majority of them, be, and they
are also hereby authorised and empowered to con-
vey by a good and sufficient deed to the purchaser
or purchasers the said lot of land, with the im-
provements thereon, hereinbefore described, upon
the receipt of the purchase money, if sold for cash,
or upon the receipt of the bond of the purchaser or
purchasers, with such security as they or a majority
of them shall approve, if sold on credit.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this act
shall take effect and go into operation from the day
of its passage.

AN ACT to continue in force the act to incorporate
the Queen Anne's and Kent County Railroad
Company, chapter one hundred and forty-nine,
session of eighteen hundred and fifty-six.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the commissioners, or a majori-
ty of them, named and appointed in the act to in-
corporate the Queen Anne's and Kent County Rail-
road company, passed at the January session in
the year eighteen hundred and fifty-six, chapter
one hundred and forty-nine, shall, at any time
within four years after the passage of this act, be
and they are hereby authorised to do and perform
the several duties required of them in the several
