Newman to Sidney Charles Newman.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That the name of Shalmanezer New-
man be and the same is hereby changed to Sidney
Charles Newman.
|

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to allow Robert Pippin, late collector of
State and county taxes for Caroline county, fur-
ther time so complete his collections, and to give
him full authority to do so.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly
of Maryland, That Robert Pippin, late collector of
the State and county taxes for Caroline county, be
and he is hereby authorised and empowered for
twelve months from the passage of this act to com-
plete his collections as collector of State and county
taxes, with the same and as full authority to com-
pel and force payment of the taxes due him as col-
lector as aforesaid, as he had when he was first ap-
pointed and qualified as collector as aforesaid; Pro-
vided, that nothing herein contained shall be con-
strued to extend the time of payment over any
