T. Rhea property to the point of the intersection of said
line with the south-east corner of Lot 23 in the re-subdivision
of Walter R. Wilson's subdivision of East Riverdale (P. 1,
folio 50), thence turning west and following the southern
line of Lot 23 in the said Wilson's re-subdivision of East
Riverdale (P. 1, folio 50) to the northwest corner of the R.
H. Lewis, Jr., property, thence south and following the east-
ern line of Lot 26 of said re-subdivision to the south-east cor-
ner of Lot 26 therein, thence turning in a northwesterly
direction and following the southern line of Lot 26 in said
re-subdivision to the south-west corner thereof, thence turn-
ing in a northeasterly direction and following the western
line of Tanglewood Drive to its intersection with the south-
ern line of Jefferson Avenue, thence in a straight line across
said Avenue to the point of beginning.
Provided, however, that whenever any of the property in
said annexed territory contiguous to the branch of the Ana-
costia River shall be acquired by the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission for park or other pur-
poses, as authorized by Art. 17, Sections 720 and 747, inclu-
sive, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), as amended, such property so acquired shall upon
the recording of the deed and plat establishing the lines of
the same among the land records of Prince George's County, be
excluded from the jurisdiction and corporate limits of the
Mayor and Common Council of Riverdale, and the eastern
lines of the park area thus established shall thereafter con-
stitute the western boundary of the Mayor and Common Coun-
cil of Riverdale in said annexed territory; and provided,
further, that upon the acquisition by the Maryland-National
Capital Park and Planning Commission of any land within
the annexed territory for such purposes, the Mayor and Com-
mon Council of Riverdale shall refund to the owners of any
property so acquired the share of any municipal taxes paid
the town by the owner of such property for the unexpired
months of the current tax year' following such acquisition,
based upon the quantity of his land taken in proportion to the
amount of land owned by him upon which the taxes for
such year was paid.
865B. Except as hereinafter otherwise provided, all of
the provisions of the Constitution of Maryland, all laws of
the State of Maryland applicable to the town of Riverdale
which now are in force or may hereafter be enacted, and all
the existing ordinances of the town of Riverdale, shall be and
the same are extended and made applicable to such portion
of Prince George's County as is, under the provisions of this
Act, annexed to and made part of the said town of River-
dale. Nothing herein, or elsewhere in this Act, shall affect the
