to borrow on the faith and credit of Queen Anne's County
the sum of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30, 000), and to
issue coupon bonds therefor.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said bonds
shall be issued in denominations of One Thousand Dollars
($1. 000) or any multiple thereof, with coupons attached
thereto for the payment of interest thereon, the said inter-
est to be payable on the first day of January and the first
day of July in each and every year until all of the said
bonds shall be matured and been paid. The said bonds
shall be dated July 1st, 1941, shall be signed by the Presi-
dent of the County Commissioners of Queen Anne's County
and countersigned by the County Treasurer of said County,
with the seal of said County affixed thereto; the coupons
shall be signed by the County Treasurer of Queen Anne's
County, or a facsimile of his signature shall be printed,
engraved or written thereon, and said bonds shall bear in-
terest from the date thereof at a rate not to exceed three
per centum (3%) per annum and shall be exempt from
State, County and municipal taxation.

Said bonds shall be so issued that Two Thousand Dol-
lars ($2, 000) thereof shall mature and be payable on Janu-
ary 1st each year, beginning with January 1st, 1944, until
all of said bonds shall mature and be paid.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County shall advertise
the said bonds in the two newspapers published in Queen
Anne's County and in at least two of the daily news-
papers published in Baltimore City, inviting sealed pro-
posals for the purchase of said bonds or any part thereof,
with the privilege of the said County Commissioners of
Queen Anne's County to reject any and all bids, the said
advertisements to be for such length of time as to said
County Commissioners may seem adequate.

SEC. 4. And be it further enacted, That the proceeds
arising from the sale of said bonds shall be used for the
following purposes:

(1) For the payment of the cost of engraving or
printing said bonds, the cost of advertising and any other
expenses incidental to the issuance of said bonds; and

(2) For the construction of an auditorium to the
Church Hill High School.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted, That the County
Commissioners of Queen Anne's County are hereby author-
ized to appoint a Building Committee, composed of such
