BUDGET OF THE STATE ROADS COMMISSION OF MARYLAND FOR THE BIENNIUM 1942-1943
Account

Number TITLE OF ACCOUNT For the Fiscal Year 1942 For the Fiscal Year 1943
To Baltimore City: The amount herein dedicated to

Baltimore City has been apportioned in the same

manner as the amounts provided to Baltimore

City's use for the fiscal years 1942 and 1943, and

represents the excess gasoline tax receipts from

the l%c. Tax in excess of the amount provided in

the Budget for the fiscal year 1939, amounting to

$111,688.03, and for the fiscal year 1940, amount-
ing to $50,280.97. It is intended hereby to have

apportioned a total of $161,969.00 to the use of

Baltimore City in the same manner and for the

same purposes that 30% of the lc. Gasoline

Tax for the years 1942 and 1943 is appropriated

to Baltimore City.

To the Counties: The State Roads Commission is
hereby further authorized that in the event the
product of 70% of the l%c. Lateral Gasoline Tax
for the fiscal year 1941 should exceed the amount
set forth in the Budget applicable to that year,
then such excess is likewise to be apportioned to
the State Roads Commission for the use of the
twenty-three Counties in the same manner and for
the same purposes as that provided in the Budget
applicable to the fiscal years 1942 and 1943.

To Baltimore City: The State Roads Commission is
hereby further authorized that in the event the
product of 30% of the lc. Lateral Gasoline Tax
for the fiscal year 1941 should exceed the amount
set forth in the Budget applicable to that year,
then such excess is likewise to be apportioned to
the State Roads Commission for the use of Balti-
more City in the same manner and for the same
purposes as that provided in the Budget applicable
to the fiscal years 1942 and 1943.

03 ELIMINATION OF GRADE CROSSING CONSTRUC-
TION (%-Cent Gasoline Tax):

To the State Roads Commission, the proceeds of 80%
of the revenue of V2c. Gasoline Tax (less refund
exemptions) after deducting one-eighth (%) of the
appropriation authorized for maintaining the Gaso-
line Tax Collection Department in the office of the
State Comptroler. The amounts named herein are ......

computed as estimates only, it being the intention
that these appropriations shall be 100% of the
revenues aforesaid, and it being further the inten-
tion that should the proceeds of the tax exceed
