cial process or otherwise, all State, County and Municipal
Taxes and water rents for the calendar year in which said
sale has been made shall be adjusted between the vendor
and the vendee as of the date of said sale, and the vendor
shall pay and be responsible for that portion of the same
which shall have accrued in that part of the calendar year
preceding the date of said sale, and the vendee shall be
responsible for and shall pay that portion of the same ac-
cruing for that portion of the calendar year subsequent to
the date of said sale. And in all public advertisements of
said property, there shall be incorporated therein a state-
ment to the effect that all State, County and Municipal
Taxes and water rents for the calendar year shall be ad-
justed as of the day of sale.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1939.

CHAPTER 145.
(Senate Bill 287)

AN ACT to add a new Section to Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Allegany County", sub-title "County Commissioners";
said new Section to be known as Section 107-A and to
follow immediately after Section 107, authorizing the
County Commissioners of Allegany County to make regu-
lations for the establishment, maintenance and operation
of walkathon or marathon contests, or similar public ex-
hibitions of physical skill and endurance, outside the
limits of incorporated towns or cities in Allegany
County, and requiring permits for the establishment,
maintenance or operation of the same and providing
penalties for the violation thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland,
That a new Section be, and it is hereby added to
Article 1 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Allegany County", sub-title, "County
Commissioners"; said new Section to be known as Section
107-A, to follow immediately after Section 107 of said
Article, and to read as follows:
