184. No piece of real estate offered at tax sale by the said
Treasurer shall be sold for less than the total of the taxes,,
interest, penalties and costs 'of sale for which it is liable. If
such a bid for the same be not made, it shall be considered and
recorded as sold to the Town Commissioners of La Plata for
the total amount thereof. A report of all sales made by the
said Treasurer, and final ratification thereof, shall be made
and had as herein provided.

184A. Any real estate sold under the provisions of this
Act may be redeemed within two years after the published
date of sale thereof by the payment of the total amount of the
taxes and assessments, interest, penalties and costs for which
the same was sold, interest at the rate of twelve per centum
per annum on the amount of such sale from the date of sale,
as published, to the time of redemption, and all subsequent
taxes and/or assessments, interest, penalties and costs which
shall have accrued thereon.

184B. The sales of all real estate made by the said Treas-
urer for taxes and special assessments so due and unpaid to
the said Town Commissioners of La Plata, shall be reported
by him, under a general oath as to their fairness, to the Cir-
cuit Court for Charles County, sitting in equity. Said sales
shall be listed in separate paragraphs and numbered. The
Clerk of the said Court upon receiving said report, shall docket
a suit in the equity docket of said Court in the name of the
"Treasurer of La Plata" as plaintiff, against each of the
persons or corporations named in said report of sales, as de-
fendants.

185C. The Circuit Court for Charles County is hereby
vested with full and complete jurisdiction to hear and deter-
mine suits docketed upon said Treasurer's report as proceed-
ings in rem as fully and completely as it can hear and deter-
mine equity suits within its general jurisdiction. The said
treasurer's report shall be considered and treated by the court
as if it were a bill in equity. Upon the filing of said report
the said court, through its clerk, shall issue an order of pub-
lication against each of the persons or corporations named in
said report, which order of publication shall be drawn and pub-
lished in accordance with the provisions of the laws of Mary-
land authorizing service of process upon non-residents by pub-
