180.     All taxes levied by the Town Commissioners of La
Plata on real estate and personal property shall be due on the
first day of July next succeeding their levy.

181.      The Treasurer of the town of La Plata shall be the
collector of all taxes levied, and special assessments made by it,
and shall have full power to enforce payment thereof by the
sale of the. property liable therefor, and to convey a good title
to any property sold by him. Taxes and special assessments
levied upon real estate shall be a lien thereon from the date the
-same are levied or made.

182.      The Treasurer of said town of La Plata, shall pre-
pare, after the first day of February in each year, a list of
all taxes in default levied, and all special assessments which
may be due and not paid upon real estate within the corpo-
rate limits of the town of La Plata, commencing with the
tax year 1931-1932. Said list shall set out respectively the
name or names of the owner or owners of the real estate so
listed; a fair description of each piece of real estate sufficient
to notify the owner or owners thereof that it is his property
which is advertised; the amount of the taxes or assessments,
interest, penalties and costs for which the same is liable. The
said Treasurer shall publish said list in some newspaper pub-
lished in Charles County, Maryland, once a week for three
successive weeks prior to the first Monday in April for each
year real estate is advertised to be sold for such taxes and
assessments. Each piece of real estate so advertised for sale
shall bear a charge of one dollar ($1. 00) to cover the costs of
said advertisement and of the order of publication hereinafter
provided, and said amount shall be included in the amount
charged in said list against each piece of property.

183.     The said Treasurer, at the time fixed in the adver-
tisement of sale for taxes as hereinbefore referred to, shall
attend at the door of the meeting place of the La Plata Town
Commissioners in the town of La Plata, Maryland, and offer
for sale all real estate so advertised to the highest bidder,
commencing with the first piece of real estate listed in said
advertisement and continuing to conduct said sale until all of
said real estate so advertised shall have been offered for sale.
Said sale shall commence at 11 A. M., on the first Monday in
April of each year, and continue until all the real estate so
advertised shall have been offered for sale.
