of this section, and provided further, that said special election
can be held but once each year under the provisions of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect June 1, 1931.

CHAPTER 329.

AN ACT to authorize and direct the County Commissioners of
Prince George's County to lease a building in the Town of
Hyattsville for office purposes, including the Police Court,
and to provide for the maintenance and operation, thereof,
and the location therein of certain county offices and offices
of other governmental agencies in the Metropolitan District
of the county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Prince George's
County are hereby authorized and directed to lease a building
in the Town of Hyattsville, at a monthly rental of not exceed-
ing five hundred dollars ($500. 00) per month, and for such
time and upon such terms and other conditions as the County
Commissioners may deem advisable.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners shall provide or procure in said building a proper
court room for the Police Court, quarters for a police station,
a place for temporary detention of prisoners, and for such
other county agencies or officers for which the County Com-
missioners are renting offices in Hyattsville at the time of the
passing of this Act, as they may deem desirable, and shall pro-
vide such office space or rooms in said building as may be re-
quired by other governmental agencies in the Metropolitan
District, including the Washington Suburban Sanitary Com-
mission and the Maryland-National Capital Park & Planning
Commission, and in all cases where the county is not required
to provide office space, the Commissioners may agree upon a
fair rental for the space used by other governmental agencies,
and shall collect the rent monthly and apply toward the pay-
ment of the rent which the said Commissioners shall pay for
said building.
