WHEREAS, In the opinion of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, it is desirable to continue the existence of the Motor
Vehicle Uniform Laws Commission of Maryland, which was
appointed by the Governor pursuant to. Joint Resolution No.
7 of the General Assembly of 1929; therefore, be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Commission heretofore appointed by the Governor pursuant
to Joint Resolution No. 7 adopted by the General Assembly of
1929, be and the same is hereby continued in existence for the
purpose of conferring further with the Commissions already
appointed in the State of Virginia and the District of Co-
lumbia, and that it shall be the duty of said Commission to
report its further recommendations to the Governor and the
General Assembly of Maryland on or before January 15th,
1933.

NO. 18.
A Joint Resolution. requesting the Congress of the United
States to pass Senate Joint Resolution No. 78, providing, for
the construction of a Washington-Lincoln Memorial Gettys-
burg Boulevard from the city of Washington to the battlefield
of Gettysburg.
WHEREAS, A Joint Resolution, Senate Joint Resolution No.
78, has been introduced in the Senate of the United States,
providing for the establishment of a commission for the con-
struction of a Washington-Lincoln Memorial Boulevard, con-
necting the present Lincoln Memorial in the city of Washing-
ton with the battlefield of Gettysburg in the State of Penn-
sylvania; and
WHEREAS, The construction of such a memorial will further
commemorate the public services of George Washington and
Abraham Lincoln; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Congress of the United States is most earnestly requested to
