1426 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
investigation of the laws of Maryland relating to personal
property and the descent and distribution of property be-
longing to the estates of deceased persons and requiring said
Commission to report to the Governor on or before December
1st, 1932.
WHEREAS, The Land Laws Commission appointed by the
Governor in pursuance of Chapter 527 of the Acts of the Gen-
eral Assembly of 1929, has submitted a report and has recom-
mended that the said Commission be enlarged and continued,
and that its powers and duties be broadened as hereinafter pro-
vided; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to ap-
point two additional members of the Commission known as the
Land Laws Commission, created by Chapter 527 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of 1929; and be it further
Resolved, That it shall be the duty of the said Commission
as enlarged, to investigate, and recommend as to the advisability
of a revision of the real property law, the personal property
law, the decedent estate law and other statutes of this State, as
the Commission may deem advisable for the purpose of mod-
ernizing and simplifying the laws of Maryland relating to
estates of descent and distribution of property; and be it further
Resolved, That the said Commission shall prepare a report
covering any or all of the subjects set forth in this resolution,
which said report shall be submitted to the Governor not later
than December 1st, 1932, and the said report shall contain a
draft or drafts of bills in conformity with its recommendations,
and the said report together with said bills shall be submitted
by the Governor to the General Assembly of 1933.
