1428 JOINT RESOLUTIONS.
pass said Joint Resolution, Senate Joint Resolution No. 78;
and be it further
Resolved, That the Secretary of the State of Maryland be
and he is hereby requested to transmit under the Great Seal
of the State, a copy of the aforegoing resolution to the Presi-
dent of the United States, the President of the Senate, the
Speaker of the House of Representatives, and to each of the
Representatives from Maryland in both Houses of Congress.

NO. 19.
A Joint Resolution authorizing and requesting the Governor of
Maryland to appoint a commission to investigate the labor
situation as it affects the deaf people of Maryland.
WHEREAS, There is felt to be a need to know the facts as to
the labor situation as it affects the deaf people of Maryland, in
order to see if anything can be done for the relief of these
unfortunates; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the
Governor of Maryland be and he is hereby authorized and
requested to appoint a commission, of not more than five (5)
persons, to make an investigation of the labor situation as it
affects the deaf people of the State of Maryland and the con-
ditions of the aged and infirm deaf of the State, with a view
to establishing a home for them; and be it further
Resolved, That said Commission shall submit its report and
recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly of
Maryland not later than December 15, 1932, the said report to
contain a draft or drafts of any legislation which may be pro-
posed to carry out its recommendations.
