official conduct he shall be responsible; said clerk or clerks
to be paid by the Treasurer out of the salary provided by
law to be paid him as compensation for the discharge of
his official duties as the collector of taxes, but in addition
thereto the County Commissioners may in their discretion
allow and pay over to said Treasurer for additional clerk
hire an amount not to exceed in any one year the sum of
Four Thousand and Fifty Dollars ($4, 050. 00).
356. The Treasurer of Prince George's County shall re-
ceive in full compensation for the discharge of his official
duties as collector of taxes levied for State and County
purposes the sum of Five Thousand Seven Hundred Dollars
($5, 700. 00) for each year of his term of office, which shall
be payable monthly; and shall receive no other compensa-
tion for the collection of any taxes whether for State or
County purposes.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That* this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
308 and 309 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Prince George's
County, " sub-title "County Commissioners, " as amended
by Chapter 170 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland, 1933, increasing the compensation of the
County Commissioners.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 308 and 309 of Article 17 of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition),
title "Prince George's County, " sub-title "County Com-
missioners, " as amended by Chapter 170 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland 1933, be and they are here-
