SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
be hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary
for immediate preservation of the public health and safety
and being passed upon by a yea and nay vote, supported,
by three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 430.
AN ACT to add a new Section to Chapter 135 of the Acts
of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1929, to be
known as Section 2-A and to follow immediately after
Section 2 of the said Chapter, authorizing the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, to borrow on
the credit of the Town from time to time such sums of
money not to exceed at any one time ten thousand dollars
($10, 000. 00) to purchase or construct a building for
housing the apparatus and equipment of the Brentwood
Volunteer Fire Department and to provide suitable space
as offices for the Mayor and Town Council of Brent-
wood, Maryland and to provide that before this Act shall
take effect the same shall be submitted to the qualified
voters of the said Town for their approval or rejection.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and the same is hereby
added to Chapter 135 of the Acts of the General Assembly
of Maryland of 1929, to be known as Section 2-A and to
follow immediately after Section 2 of the said Chapter, to
read as follows:
Sec. 2-A. And be it further enacted, That the Mayor
and Town Council of Brentwood, Maryland, are hereby
authorized and empowered to borrow on the credit of the
town from time to time such sum or sums of money, not
to exceed at any one time for the purposes provided here-
in a total of ten thousand dollars ($10, 000. 00), as may be
needed to purchase, erect and/or construct a building suit-
able for housing the apparatus, equipment and records of
the Brentwood Volunteer Fire Department, Incorporated,
with suitable space and room provided for the Mayor and
Town Council to hold its meetings and to keep the records
