of the said Clara M. Kimball Diegert to Clara M. Kirn-
ball Corbin Diegert.
WHEREAS, Sections 74, 75, 76 and 77 of Article 16 of the
Code of Public General Laws of the State of Maryland pro-
vide only for the adoption of infants, and there is no gen-
eral law in the State of Maryland providing for the adop-
tion of adults; and
WHEREAS, the said Clara M. Kimball Diegert is an adult
and the wife of Henry Diegert; and
WHEREAS, the said Ada Corbin, widow, for a number of
years raised the said Clara M. Kimball Diegert; and
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the said Ada Corbin, Clara
M. Kimball Diegert and Henry Diegert, her husband, all of
the County of Baltimore, State of Maryland, to have the
said Clara M. Kimball Diegert declared to be the adopted
daughter of the said Ada Corbin and to change her name to
Clara M. Kimball Corbin Diegert; and
WHEREAS, all of the aforesaid parties have assented
thereto in writing and duly attested before a Notary Public.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Clara M. Kimball Diegert of Baltimore
County, be and she is hereby declared to be the adopted
daughter of the said Ada Corbin, and as such adopted
daughter is entitled to all the rights of inheritance and dis-
tribution as to the estate of the said Ada Corbin and sub-
ject to all the obligations to which she would be entitled if
she were a natural child born of the said Ada Corbin in
lawful wedlock, and that the name of the said Clara M.
Kimball Diegert be and it is hereby changed to Clara M.
Kimball Corbin Diegert.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 419.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County, " sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " said
new section to be known as Section 322A and to follow
immediately after Section 322 of said Article, relating to
automobile tax bills.
