without compensation, but they shall be allowed any reason-
able expenses incurred in the performance of the duties
under this sub-title. The Secretary of said Commission
may receive such additional compensation as the Commis-
sion may deem just and reasonable, and for which the reg-
ulations of the said Commission may provide, provided,
however, that the compensation and expense of said Com-
mission shall in no event be paid out of the fund in the
State Treasury or become a charge against the State. Said
Commission shall meet at least once in each month and
shall hold special meetings as frequently as the proper and
efficient discharge of its business shall require.
406B. The said Plumbing Commission shall have
power to make and adopt such rules and regulations for
the enforcement in Anne Arundel County of the provisions
of this sub-title and of the plumbing and sanitary laws of
the State and for the performance of their duties here-
under, from time to time, as in its judgment may deem
necessary. The Commission shall also have power to make
such rules and regulations governing the plumbing inspec-
tor or inspectors which it may appoint.
406C. The Commission shall appoint such plumbing
inspectors as it may deem necessary, who must be licensed
plumbers, residing in Anne Arundel County. The compen-
sation of said inspectors shall be prescribed by the said
Commission, which compensation shall be paid by the
Treasurer of the Commission out of the fees received under
the provisions of this sub-title, but in no event shall said
compensation be paid by or become a charge against the
State or County.
406D. It shall be the duty of the plumbing inspectors
to inspect all houses in the course of construction, altera-
tion or repair in Anne Arundel County, which are con-
nected or are to be connected with any public or private
sewerage, drainage or water supply system in order to see
that the plumbing, drainage and water supply installation
and connections thereto conform with the State Plumbing
Code and the Health and Sanitary Laws of the State as
provided in Article 43 of the Code of Public General Laws.
It shall be unlawful for the plumbing inspectors to be en-
gaged or to be financially interested in the plumbing busi-
ness or the sale of any plumbing fixtures or supplies, or to
act as agent either directly or indirectly for any firm so
engaged. The Commission shall have full power to remove
