purpose. The Treasurer shall not pay out or disburse any
of the moneys received by him except upon the order of the
said Board. Before entering upon the performance of his
duties, the Treasurer shall file with the State Comptroller
a bond, with sufficient sureties, to the people of the State
of Maryland, in the penal sum of ten thousand dollars, to
be approved by the State Comptroller, conditioned that he
will well and truly pay over all moneys received by him,
according to law and in compliance with the provisions of
this sub-title, and that he will otherwise faithfully dis-
charge the duties of his office.

273. The State Board of Barber Examiners shall pre-
scribe and enforce rules and regulations governing barber
schools, and subject to the approval of the State Board of
Health, sanitary requirements for barber shops and barber
schools, and shall prescribe and enforce rules and regula-
tions for the examining and licensing of barbers and rea-
sonable regulations for the administration of this sub-title,
and shall have power to appoint such inspectors, clerks and
other assistants as it may deem necessary to carry out the
provisions of this sub-title whose compensation or salaries
shall be fixed by said Board.

274. No person shall hereafter practice or attempt to
practice the occupation of a barber in this State except as
hereinafter provided. No person after June 1, 1935 shall
serve or attempt to serve as a student without a certificate
of registration issued by said Board and upon payment of
the required fee of $5. 00; and no person after June 1, 1935,
shall operate a barber shop in this State unless said shop is
at all times under the direct supervision and management
of a master barber registered under the provisions of this
sub-title.

275. No person shall serve as a student in any place
other than a duly authorized Barber School or
in a barber shop for a period of at least two
years, said barber school or barber shop to be owned
or operated by a registered licensed master barber. No
more than one student shall be employed in any one barber
shop to each four or less licensed barbers employed therein.
Any barber shop employing more than one student to four
licensed barbers must be classified and advertised as a bar-
ber school.

276. Journeyman's license shall be issued only to one
who has served as a student in compliance with Section 275
