amount thereof all and every sum or sums due or owing to
said county for taxes or otherwise by the holder of said
claim, and no assignment of such claim to avoid such deduc-
tion shall be valid.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 364.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 56 of the Anno-
tated Code of Maryland (1929 Supplement), title
"Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-heading
"Fees for Registration of Motor Vehicles, " said new sec-
tion to be known as Section 182A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 182 of said Article, relating to the
registration of semi-trailers.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 56 of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1929 Supple-
ment), title "Licenses, " sub-title "Motor Vehicles, " sub-
heading "Fees for Registration of Motor Vehicles, " said
new section to be known as Section 182A, to follow imme-
diately after Section 182 of said Article, and to read as
follows:
182A. Upon receipt of an application in proper form for
the registration of semi-trailers operated under the shuttle
or relay system, it shall be the duty of the Commissioner
of Motor Vehicles, after due investigation, to issue addi-
tional metal plates or markers not exceeding two for each
truck tractor registered by the owner without extra cost.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
