tions and Citizens' Committees in said Bethesda Fire Dis-
trict or area; and provided further that said Board shall
be authorized to function when a majority of said Citizens'
Associations and Citizens' Committees shall have selected
and duly certified respectively their said Directors to the
said Board of Directors and said Board shall have then
certified its organization to the County Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 306.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
340 of Article 1 cf the Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land (1930 Edition), title "Allegany County, " sub-title
"Justices of the Peace and Constables, " sub-heading "Ses-
sions of Court, " relating to the sittings of the Justices
for the hearing of criminal and police cases in the City
of Cumberland.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 340 of Article 1 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Alle-
gany County, " sub-title "Justices of the Peace and Con-
stables, " sub-heading "Sessions of Court, " be and it is here-
by repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:

340. Said Justices shall sit, and said Court shall be open
for the conduct of business from 9. 00 A. M. until 4. 00 P. M.
each day, Sundays, Legal Holidays and the afternoons of
Saturday in the months of June, July and August excepted;
and said Justice shall sit for hearing of City of Cumberland
criminal and police cases in the municipal Court Room every
day between 2. 00 P. M. and 4. 00 P. M., except Sundays and
Legal Holidays, and at such other times as the said Justices
may determine; and they may sit at any time they may
consider necessary for the disposal of emergency cases.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
