contract with any individual, association or corporation
for the establishment of a dog pound and the destruction
of domestic animals in the Second and Sixth Election
Districts.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new Section be and it is hereby added
to Article 2 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Anne Arundel County, " sub-title
"Dogs, " to be known as Section 256A and to follow imme-
diately after Section 256 and to read as follows:

256A. The County Commissioners are hereby author-
ized and empowered to enter into a contract with any
individual, association or corporation, especially qualified
for the purpose hereinafter set forth, for the establishment
of a dog pound and for the collection, disposition and/or
destruction of stray, injured and sick domestic animals
in the Second and Sixth Election Districts. Notwithstand-
ing the provisions of Section 271 of Article 56 of the Code
of Public General Laws, said County Commissioners may
in their discretion use all or any part of their dog license
tax collected in said Second and Sixth Election Districts
to defray the cost of establishment of said pound and/or
the collection or 'destruction of said animals.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act
be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of any such
inconsistency.

SEC. 3, And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 277.

•AN ACT to add one new section to Offutt's Revised Code
of the Public Local Laws of Baltimore County, Edition
of 1929, title No. 12, "Clerk of the Court" (Flack's Code
1930, Article 3), said new section immediately to follow
Section 123 of said Code and to be known as Section
123A abolishing the taxing and/or collection of appear-
ance fees in all proceedings involving the collection of
