discount or interest, of County taxes by installments, and
directing the Treasurer to receive the same, and provid-
ing further for repeal of inconsistent laws, for partial in-
validity and for emergency adoption hereof.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That three new sections be and they are hereby
added to Offutt's Revised Code of Public Local Laws of
Baltimore County, Edition of 1929, title No. 14 "County
Treasurer" (Flack's Code of Public Local Laws of Mary-
land, 1930, Article 3), said new sections immediately to
follow Section 153 of said Offutt's Code (Flacks' 1930 Code,
Article 3, Section 153), and to be known as Sections 153A,
153B and 153C and to read as follows:
Section 153A. The County Commissioners of Baltimore
County be and they are hereby authorized and empowered
to provide for payment of County Taxes by way of install-
ments in manner and amounts and at such times and for
such periods as in their discretion may seem expedient; and
further to provide for the allowance of discount and the
charging of interest, on said installments, pro rata in ac-
cordance with provisions of Section 153 of Offutt's Re-
vised Code, 1929 Edition. And upon the adoption of such
installment payment plan, said Commissioners shall by
their order in writing delivered in due time, direct the
Treasurer of Baltimore County as to his procedure in con-
nection with this Act.
Section 153B. The Treasurer of Baltimore County
shall, upon the written order of the County Commissioners
of said County, allow and receive payment of County taxes
by way of installments, in such manner and amounts and at
such times and for such periods as the said Commissioners
shall by said written order direct. And further the said
Treasurer shall allow discount and charge interest on such
installment payments as said County Commissioners by
such written order shall prescribe in accordance with exist-
ing laws.
Section 153C. Nothing contained in said Sections 153A
and 153B of said Codes shall be held to apply to State taxes.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That any and all
other laws or parts of laws, whether general or local, incon-
sistent with the provisions of this Act, be and the same are
hereby repealed to the extent of such inconsistency.
