222. The County Commissioners are hereby authorized,
empowered and directed to establish within the several Elec-
tion Districts zones which shall enclose all thickly settled
communities enjoying garbage removal and/or disposal.
Each zone so established shall bear the entire cost of said
services or privileges in said zone and the County Commis-
sioners shall keep separate accounts of the cost of said serv-
ices or privileges in each of said zones and the County Com-
missioners shall annually levy upon the assessable property
of each of said zones, respectively, a special tax sufficient to
defray the cost of said services or privileges in each of said
zones. The County Commissioners shall establish said
zones prior to October 1, 1935, and the zones so established
shall bear the cost of said services or privileges from
and after January 1, 1936. Provided, however, that the
County Commissioners may from time to time establish new
zones and redefine existing zones.. Provided, further, that
the provisions of this section shall not apply to the Sixth
Election District (City of Annapolis).

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all Acts or
parts of Acts inconsistent with the provisions of this Act
be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of such in-
consistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 268.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
79, Section 12 of the Acts of the General Assembly of
Maryland of 1908, codified as Section 512 of Article 17 of
the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edi-
tion), entitled "Prince George's County, " sub-title
"Hyattsville, " relating to the oaths of the Mayor and
Common Council and all other officers of the corporation.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Chapter 79 Section 12 of the Acts of the
General Assembly of Maryland of 1908, codified as Sec-
tion 512 of Article 17 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland (1930 Edition) entitled "Prince George's
