tions for the purchase thereof incurred under the provisions
of this Section, until such obligations are fully paid.
SEC. 2, And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 240.
AN ACT to repeal Sections 364, 365, 366 and 367 of Article
21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title "Oxford, " and
to enact in lieu thereof a new section to be known as Sec-
tion 364 of said Article, abolishing the Utility Commis-
sion and providing that the Commissioners of Oxford will
have full charge and control of the Oxford Water System.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Sections 364, 365, 366 and 367 of Article
21 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930
Edition), title "Talbot County, " sub-title "Oxford, " be and
they are hereby repeal 3d and that a new section be enacted
in lieu thereof, said new section to be known as Section 364
and to read as follows:
364. The Commissioners of Oxford shall keep separate
accounts of all funds of the Water System and shall apply
all revenues therefrom to the payment of the expenses of
properly keeping up and operating said Water System and
the surplus, if any remains, shall be used by the Commis-
sioners of Oxford for the payment of interest and for the
redemption of the bonds or notes outstanding against said
Water System. And if at any time the revenues shall be
insufficient for conducting and operating said Water Sys-
tem until the same shall become self-sustaining the said
Commissioners of Oxford shall pay the deficiency out of
any funds in their hands unproportioned to special pur-
poses; and should said Commissioners of Oxford not hav§
the necessary funds to meet such expenses they are author-
ized to borrow upon the faith and credit of the Town, or
to raise by special tax, the funds necessary to meet such
deficiency.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is here-
by declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the
