SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 239.
AN ACT to add a new section to Article 39A of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Forestry, " said
new section to be known as Section 33B, to follow immedi-
ately after Section 33A of said Article, to authorize the
State Department of Forestry to accept gifts of land
from the Federal Government, and to enter into agree-
ments with the Federal Government for acquiring by
lease, purchase or otherwise, such lands as the State De-
partment of Forestry may deem suitable for State
Forests or State Parks, and to provide generally for the
management and development of any such lands.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 39A of the Code of Public General Laws of Mary-
land, title "Forestry, " said new section to be known as Sec-
tion 33B, to follow immediately after Section 33A of said
Article, and to read as follows:
33B. The State Department of Forestry shall have
power and authority to accept gifts, donations or contribu-
tions of land from the Federal Government, or any agency
or agent thereof; to enter into agreements with the Federal
Government, or any agency or agent thereof, for acquiring
by lease, purchase or otherwise, such lands as the State De-
partment of Forestry may deem suitable for State forests
or State parks; to make expenditures from any funds not
otherwise obligated for the management, development and
utilization of any such lands; to sell or otherwise dispose of
products therefrom; and to make such rules and regula-
tions as may be necessary to carry out the provisions of
this section. Any revenue received from such lands shall
be paid into the State Treasury to the credit of the Forest
Reserve Fund, and disbursed in accordance with the pro-
visions of Section 15 of this Article; provided, however,
that not less than 50% of the gross revenues derived from
such lands shall be devoted to the payment of any obliga-
