and visible from the front for a distance of 200 feet, and
one red light visible from the rear for a distance of 200
feet; and in addition, every motor truck, trailer and com-
mercial motor vehicle, having a width of ninety inches or
over, including the load, and not equipped with permanent
marker lights at the front and rear, located approximately at
' the left side of such vehicle, shall be provided with a light at-
tached to the extreme left of such vehicle showing white, or
tinted color other than red, to the front and red to the rear,
which shall be visible for a distance of 200 feet from both
front and rear, and so attached and adjusted as to indicate
the extreme left lateral extension of the vehicle or load.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 228.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
127 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "Chevy Chase, " sub-heading "Fire Department, "
changing the boundaries of the area to be taxed for main-
tenance and support of the Fire Department.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 127 of Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County, " sub-title "Chevy Chase, " sub-head-
ing "Fire Department, " be and it is hereby repealed and re-
enacted, with amendments, to read as follows:
127. For the purpose of providing funds with which to
establish, maintain and operate a fire department within
the area in the Seventh Election District in said Mont-
gomery County, particularly designated and described, and
lying and being within the, bounds, courses and distances
as follows, to wit: Beginning for the same at a point where
the center line of Wisconsin Avenue intersects the North-
western boundary of the District of Columbia; thence with
the boundary of the District of Columbia, northeast to a
point where the said boundary intersects Rock Creek, fol-
