Section 15 of this Act.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 143.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections
8 and 9 of Article 9 of the Code of Public General Laws
of Maryland, Bagby's Edition 1924, title "Attachments, "
sub-title "Attachments Against Non-Resident and Ab-
sconding Debtors, " for the purpose of authorizing the
issuance of additional writs of attachment on the original
affidavit before the next return day or any time there-
after.

(Vetoed. )

CHAPTER 144.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments Section
225 of Article 23 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wicomico County, "
sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-heading "County
Treasurer, " as amended by Chapter 70 of the Acts of
1933, relating to the compensation of the Deputy County
Treasurer.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 225 of Article 23 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Wi-
comico County, " sub-title "Revenue and Taxes, " sub-head-
ing "County Treasurer, " as said section was amended by
Chapter 70 of the Acts of 1933, be and it is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments, to read as follows:

225. The Treasurer shall appoint a deputy, who shall
perform such duties as said Treasurer shall require and
for whose official conduct said Treasurer shall be respon-
sible and who in the absence of the Treasurer shall act in
his place. Said deputy shall receive a salary of fif-
