1262 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 591
CHAPTER 591.

AN ACT to add a new section to Article 7 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Carroll County," sub-title "Hucksters," said new section
to be known as Section 91A and to follow immediately
after Section 91 of said Article, imposing license fees on
hucksters, hawkers and peddlers selling fruits and vege-
tables in Carroll County and exempting the growers
thereof.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That a new section be and it is hereby added to
Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland
(1930 Edition), title "Carroll County," sub-title "Huck-
sters," said new section to be known as Section 91A, to fol-
low immediately after Section 91 of said Article, and to
read as follows:

91A. No huckster, hawker or peddler shall sell or offer
for sale any fruits or vegetables in Carroll County until
he shall have first taken out a license for that purpose in
accordance with the provisions of this section; provided,
however, that this section shall not apply to the farmers
or growers selling their own fruits or vegetables.

For every such license, the Clerk of the Circuit Court of
Carroll County shall be paid Fifteen Dollars, ($15.00)
per annum. The receipts from said licenses shall be paid to
the County Treasurer for the use of said County. Any
person violating the provisions of this section shall, upon
conviction, be fined not less* than Twenty-five Dollars
($25.00) nor more than One Hundred Dollars ($100.00),
to be recovered as other fines are recovered.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That all laws or
parts of laws inconsistent with the provisions of this Act
be and they are hereby repealed to the extent of such
inconsistency.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted. That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
