CHAPTER 571.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
297 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1924 Edition), title "Health, " sub-title "Undertakers, "
relating to the educational requirements and registration
of apprentices of undertakers.

CHAPTER 572.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
300 of Article 43 of the Annotated Code of Maryland
(1924 Edition), title "Health, " sub-title "Undertakers, "
relating to the registration of apprentice embalmers.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 300 of Article 43 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1924 Edition), title "Health, " sub-
title "Undertakers, " be and the same time is hereby re-
pealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

300. Before any person or persons shall hereafter en-
gage in the profession of embalming in this State, and be-
fore any person or persons now so engaged in said pro-
fession of embalming in this State who shall fail to register
with said Board in accordance with1 Section 237 A of this
Article, shall continue to carry on said profession of em-
balming in this State, such person or persons shall apply
to said Board of Undertakers for a license to practice em-
balming; and such applicant or applicants shall present
himself or herself before said Board at the time and place
to be fixed by said Board, and if the Board shall find, upon
due examination and the payment of an examination fee
of twenty-five dollars, that the applicant or applicants are
of good moral character, twenty-one years of age and free
from habits liable to interfere with the performance of
