WHEREAS, it is deemed desirable to extend the provisions
of the statutes of the State relating to co-operative associa-
tions to the fishery industry so that persons engaged there-
in may organize co-operative associations under the provi-
sions of Sections 419 to 446, both inclusive, of Article 23 of
the Code of Public General Laws.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That one new section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 23 of the Code of Public General Laws of
Maryland, title "Corporations, " sub-title "Co-operative As-
sociations, " to be known as Section 419A and to follow im-
mediately after Section 419 of said Article 23, and to read
as follows:
Section 419A. The provisions of this sub-title (Section
419 to 446, both inclusive) and amendments thereto, are
hereby extended to catching, taking, harvesting, cultivating,
farming, propagating, processing, marketing and distribut-
ing fishery products, which term shall include fish, shell fish,
Crustacea, sea weeds and other aquatic forms of animal and
vegetable life, and the products and by-products thereof,
and the term "Agricultural Products" wherever the same
appears in this sub-title shall be deemed to include "fishery
products" as herein defined.
SEC. 2. This Act shall take effect June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 530.
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 72 of the Anno-
tated Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title
"Oysters, " sub-title "Oyster Culture, " to follow imme-
diately after Section 98 and to be known as Section 98A,
and to provide that the Conservation Department of the
State may lease any portion of the barren bottoms or
depleted natural^ beds or bars of the State to the Mary-
land Rehabilitation Corporation, to any non-profit cor-
poration designated by any agency of the Federal Gov-
ernment or to any cooperative association of oystermen,
and providing that no part of the natural beds or bars
of the State may be so leased until the Conservation
Department shall have determined, after receiving the
