CHAPTER 528.
AN ACT to authorize the County Commissioners of How-
ard County to retire and pension Michael E. Norris, a
police officer of said County, and to levy a tax therefor.
Whereas, Michael E. Norris has served with fidelity and
efficiency as police officer of the First District of Howard
County for forty-one years, or since his appointment in
May of 1894, and is entitled to retirement with pension.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Board of County Commissioners of
Howard County be and they are hereby authorized and di-
rected, effective from June 1, 1935, to retire from active
duty Michael E. Norris, a police officer of the First District
of said County, for forty-one years or since his appoint-
ment in May of 1894, and accounting from June 1, 1935 to
pay said Michael E. Norris an annual pension of Three
Hundred and Sixty Dollars ($360) in monthly installments
on the first day of each month, operative throughout the
life of said Michael E. Norris.
SECTION 2. And be it further enacted that the County
Commissioners of Howard County are authorized and di-
rected to impose an annual tax on the assessable property
within the First District of Howard County sufficient to
pay the pension in this Act provided, to be collected as
other taxes in said County are collected, and to continue as
long as said pension shall continue.
SECTION 3. And be it further enacted that this Act shall
be effective from June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 529.
AN ACT to add one new section to Article 23 of the Code
of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Corporations, "
sub-title "Co-operative Associations, " to be known as
Section 419A and to follow immediately after Section 419
of said Article, to provide for the inclusion in the
term "Agricultural Products, " as used in said sub-title of
fishery products and thereby extend the provisions of said
sub-title to fishery products.
