CHAPTER 504.

A. N ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Section
602 of Article 16 of the Code of Public Local Laws of
Maryland (1930 Edition), title "Montgomery County, "
sub-title "Maryland-Washington Metropolitan District, "
relating to penalties for violation of said Act.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 602 of Article 16 of the Code of
Public Local Laws of Maryland (1930 Edition), title
"Montgomery County, " sub-title "Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District, " be and it is hereby repealed and
re-enacted with amendments to read as follows:

602. Every act or omission designated as a misde-
meanor in this act, unless otherwise provided, shall be
punishable before any Justice of the Peace or the Circuit
Court of the County in which such offense is committed,
and the offender shall, upon conviction, be subject to a fine
not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100. 00) or thirty (30)
days in the County Jail, or both, in the discretion of the
Court. Where such an act or omission is of a continuous
nature or is persisted in, in violation of the provisions of
this Act, or of any rule or regulation formulated thereunder,
a conviction of one offense shall not be a bar to a conviction
for the continuation of such offense subsequent to the first
or any succeeding conviction.

CHAPTER 505.

AN ACT to increase the area of the Maryland-Washington
Metropolitan District within Montgomery County, to ex-
tend the jurisdiction of the Maryland National Capital
Park and Planning Commission thereover and to include
that area within the following described boundaries:
"Beginning at a point where present West boundary line
of the Maryland*Washington Metropolitan District inter-
sects with the extension of the center line of the road
running from the Halpine Station westerly to the Rock-
ville-Georgetown Road, said point being 300 feet West of
the said Rockville-Georgetown Road and running thence
in a northwesterly direction parallel and 300 feet West of
