SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
June 1, 1935.

CHAPTER 503.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Section
1 of Chapter 60 of the Acts of 1842, entitled "An Act to-
incorporate the Independent Junior Fire Company of
Hagerstown. "
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 1 of Chapter 60 of the Acts of
1842, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Independent
Junior Fire Company of Hagerstown, " be, and it is hereby
repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, to read as
follows:
FIRST. That James L. Freanar, Peter Hammond, J. B.
Updegraff, G. H. P. Schwartz, Cornelius Artz, William
Force, William Biershing, Martin Sater, William William-
son, John Boyd and such others as now are, or hereafter
may become members of the Independent Junior Fire Com-
pany of Hagerstown, are hereby declared to be one commu-
nity corporation and body politic, by the name and style of
the Independent Junior Fire Company, for which purpose
they are hereby made able and capable in law to have, pur-
chase, receive and possess, enjoy and retain to them and
their successors, lands, tenements, rents, annuities and
other hereditaments, and the same to grant, demise or dis-
pose of in such manner as they may judge most conductive
to the interest of the company, provided however, that the
corporation shall not at any time hold or possess property
real or personal or mixed, exceeding in value the sum of
One Hundred Thousand Dollars.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect June 1, 1935.
