SUB-TITLE: LANDS FORMED BY CHANNEL EXCAVATION
IN SINEPUXENT AND CHINCOTEAGUE BAYS
27. All lands made or formed by the dumping or de-
positing of excavated material in the Sinepuxent, Isle of
Wight and Chincoteague Bays during the construction or
maintenance of the Ocean City Inlet and Channel in said
Bays, as well as all land now made or which may hereafter
be made or formed by natural causes since the opening of
the inlet in August, 1933, between the ocean and the bays,
are hereby declared to be natural resources of the State of
Maryland and title to the same shall be retained for the
use of the Conservation Department, and no patent there-
for shall hereafter be issued by the Land Commissioner of
Maryland. The Conservation Commissioner is hereby au-
thorized and empowered to use said lands for Conservation
purposes in such manner and under such regulations as in
his discretion he may deem for the best interest of the
State, subject, however, to the approval of the Board of
Public Works.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by
three-fifths of all the members elected to each of the two
Houses of the General Assembly of Maryland, the same
shall take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 70.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the Regents of the
University of Maryland to accept donations, gifts, grants
and devises for and on behalf of said university from in-
dividuals, associations, societies, and corporations and
from the United States Government, or any duly author-
ized branch, board, commission, bureau, agency, division,
sub-division or department thereof; and to declare this
Act an emergency law and make it effective from the
date of its passage.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Regents of the University of Maryland
