of said districts for which such a petition has been filed.
No petition filed in pursuance of the provisions of this sec-
tion shall be sufficient to authorize the approval of any
such license unless the same be filed with the Board of
Supervisors of Elections on or before the 31st day of De-
cember, 1934. * It shall be the duty of the Board of Super-
visors of Elections for Montgomery County to promptly
examine any petition that may be filed under the provisions
of this Act, and to inform the Liquor Control Board
whether any such petition is in conformity with the re-
quirements of this Act.

If such a petition shall be filed for any of said districts
with the Board of Supervisors of Elections for Montgom-
ery County on or before December 31, 1934, it shall be the
duty of the Board of Supervisors of Elections of Mont-
gomery County to hold a special election on the fourth
Tuesday of April in the year 1935, and at said election
there shall be submitted to the legal and qualified voters of
each of said districts for which a petition has been so filed,
the following question, to wit: "Shall the license system
now in effect in other parts of Montgomery County be ex-
tended to.......................................... election district of Mont-
gomery County?" In the blank space indicated in the
above question, there shall be inserted upon the ballots the
name of each district voting upon the question so as to en-
able the voters of each district to vote separately.

571B. The licenses for the sale of alcoholic beverages
authorized by Chapter 2 of the Acts of the Extraordinary
Session of the General Assembly of Maryland of 1933, may
be approved and issued subject to the provisions of said
Act, for any place of business located within Rockville,
Bethesda, Potomac and Wheaton election districts, except
within the towns of Takoma Park and Kensington; pro-
vided, however, that upon the filing in the office of the
Board of Supervisors of Elections of Montgomery County
at any time on or before December 31st, 1934, of a petition
signed by not less than 30% of the registered and qualified
voters of Rockville, Bethesda, Potomac and Wheaton elec-
tion districts, except those in the towns of Takoma Park
and Kensington, there shall be submitted to the registered
and qualified voters of said Rockville, Bethesda, Potomac
and Wheaton election districts, except in the towns of Ta-
koma Park and Kensington, at the special election to be
held on the fourth Tuesday in April, 1935, the following
question, to wit: "Shall the license and dispensary system
now authorized by law, be continued in Rockville, Bethesda,
