the United States of America not to exceed the sum of Sev-
enteen Thousand Dollars ($17, 000. 00) to be used by it in
the construction and financing of public works within the
limits of said Town upon such terms and conditions as may
be agreed upon between the said The Mayor and Council of
Rockville and the United States and to issue as evidence of
such indebtedness such bonds, notes, or certificates of in-
debtedness as may be necessary to evidence such debt.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said the
Mayor and Council of Rockville is hereby authorized and
empowered to levy and collect upon the taxable property
in the Town of Rockville such special taxes as may be
necessary from time to time to pay the interest and prin-
cipal of such indebtedness.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is
hereby declared to be an emergency law and necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public health and safety,
and being passed by a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

AN ACT to authorize the Treasurer of the State upon the
warrant of the Comptroller to pay the expenses of the
General Assembly of Maryland for the extraordinary
session of 1933.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the Treasurer of the State of Maryland
shall, upon the warrant of the Comptroller, disburse
such sums not exceeding fifty thousand dollars
($50, 000. 00) or so much thereof as may be necessary, for
the payment of the officers, employees and members of the
General Assembly of Maryland of the extraordinary ses-
sion of 1933, including mileage, printing, binding and
miscellaneous expenses to or upon the order of the person
or persons entitled to receive the same, the said disburse-
ments to be made out of the appropriation authorized by
