erly with the said Scaggs-Reed boundary, the Beach-Reed
line and the Virginia Lumber Company-Shafer line to the
bridge over Indian Creek on the road leading from Sunny-
side; thence with said road in a Southeasterly direction to a
stone marked "D. C. 133, " said stone being distant about
four-tenths of a mile from where the Edmonston Road inter-
sects said road, and said stone being a boundary of the Arm-
strong Forrestry Company's Land; thence from said stone
in a Southerly direction to a point in the said Branchville
Road one mile Easterly from the intersection of the said
Branchville and Edmonston Roads; thence Southerly to the
Northeast corner of Edmonston Road District No. 1, being a
point on the Good Luck Road; thence with the said District
Northern boundary Westerly along said Good Luck Road to
the North East Branch, and thence Northerly with the said
North East Branch and Paint Branch to the place of begin-
ning.
SEC. 8. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public health and safety, and
being passed upon a yea and nay vote, supported by three-
fifths of all the members elected to each of the two Houses
of the General Assembly, the same shall take effect from the
date of its passage.

CHAPTER 177.
AN ACT to amend the Charter of the Town of Brentwood,
Prince George's County, Maryland, as enacted by Chapter
153 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1922 by amend-
ing Sections 5, 7 and 18 thereof to correct certain discre-
pancies and omissions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That Section 5 of the Public Local Laws of the
State of Maryland, entitled An Act to incorporate the town of
Brentwood, as enacted by the Acts of the General Assembly of
1922, Chapter No. 153, is hereby amended by striking out the
fourth sentence thereof beginning with the words "All citi-
