of any motor vehicle, any tax, registration fee, license fee, as-
sessment or charge of any kind for the operation of a motor
vehicle upon any public highway.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from and after June 1, 1924.

CHAPTER 437.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Sections 66,
67, 68 and 69 of Article 7 of the Code of Public Local Laws
of Maryland, title "Carroll County, " sub-title "Manchester, "
(Sections 66 and 67 having been amended by Chapter 80 of
the Acts of 1910), changing the boundaries of said town and
relating to the election and term of office of the Mayor and
Councilmen.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 66, 67, 68 and 69 of Article 7 of the Code
of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Carroll County, "
sub-title "Manchester, " (Sections 66 and 67 having been
amended by Chapter 80 of the Acts of 1910), be and they are
hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments to read as
follows:

66. The limits of the said town of Manchester shall em-
brace all the land within the following metes and bounds,
courses and distances, to wit:

Beginning at the south end of the east abutment wall of the
first culvert on the down grade of the State road leading from
Manchester to Hanover, this point being at the end of a line
drawn North 27 1/8 degrees West 64 1/10 rods from a stone
marked B. C. L. standing on the east side of the aforesaid
State road and marking the beginning corner of the present
corporation boundaries, and running thence by lines determined
by the Mayor and Common Council of the said town of Man-
chester (1) South 10 degrees West 47 rods to a point in the
field on hilltop; (2) South 2¾ degrees West 37 1/10 rods to
the north edge of the Bachman Valley Road where the same
makes a sharp turn toward the northwest; (3) South 2½ de-
grees East 145 rods to a point in the north edge of the old
Westminster Road and crossing the Manchester-Westchester
State Road opposite the Shriver Sweetcorn Crib and at the end
