NO. 20.
Directing the Public Service Commission to investigate the
question of building a railroad through Anne Arundel and
Calvert Counties, and authorizing the Governor to appoint
a commission to consider the report of said Public Service
Commission.
WHEREAS, f r,om time to time, the question of building a rail-
road through Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties has been
discussed; and
WHEREAS, there is a great need for rail transportation in
said Counties; and
WHEREAS, it is desirable to have accurate data as to the
feasibility and cost of building a railroad through said Coun-
ties ; therefore be it
Resolved by the General Assembly of Ma-ryland, That the
Public Service Commission be and it is hereby directed to
examine into and investigate the feasibility, practicability and
probable cost of building a railroad through Anne Arundel and
Calvert Counties, and to submit its findings to the Commission
to be appointed as hereinafter stated; and
Be it further resolved, That the Governor of Maryland be and
he is hereby authorized and empowered to appoint a Commis-
sion composed of citizens of this State to receive the report
made by the Public Service Commission in compliance with
this Resolution, and said Commission so appointed by the
Governor shall report its recommendations relative to said pro-
ject, the cost, methods of financing and construction and opera-
tion of said railroad to the General Assembly of 1924.

Joint Resolution appointing a commission to investigate the
need for establishing a State formal School on the Eastern
Shore of Maryland and authorizing said commission to pre-
pare plans for the buildings to be erected, to select a site and
to purchase the same, if feasible, and to submit a report to
the next General Assemblv.
