This Indenture made this 21.th day of August
in y.e year of our Lord (1693) Betweene Simon Wilmer
of Kent County in y.e province of Mary Land of
the one part And Griffith Jones of y.e same County
of y.e other part Wittnesseth that y.e s.d Simon
for & in Consideration of y.e sume of eleaven
thousand five hundred pounds of tobaco to
him in hand allready paid And y.e s.d Simon
doth by these presents for himselfe his heirs
Ext.rs And Admt.rs fully accquit and discharge
him y.e s.d Griffith Jones of & from y.e same
hath granted barganed & sell unto him the s.d
Griffith Jones his heirs & assignes for ever
all y.t tract or parcell of Land called Kemps
beggining scituate in Kent County afforesd
on a Creeke called muddy Creeke begining
at a marked oake being y.e second bounded
tree of a parcell of Land Laid out for Marke
Spensox called Ratclift Cross standing by y.e
s.d Creeke & running from y.e s.d oake north west
with y.e s.d Land four hundred fifty & six
perches to a parcell of Land called Rousbies
Recovery & from thence south three hundred
& twenty perches & from y.e end of y.e south
Line East three hundred & twenty perches to
to y.e first bounded tree containing & now
Laid out for three hundred and twenty acres
more or less as by y.e patent of y.e s.d Land doth
apeare with all its rights Jurisdictions and
apurtenances to y.e s.d Land belonging or anywayes
apertaining Royall mines onely Excepted to
have and to hold y.e s.d Land & all & every
other y.e premises with y.e apurtenances & every
part & parcell thereof unto y.e s.d Griffth Jones his
heirs & assignes to y.e onely proper use & behoofe of
him y.e s.d Griffith Jones his heirs & assignes forever
and y.e s.d Simon Wilmer for himselfe his heirs
