CHAP. 175.

Legislature may
regulate price.

Legislature to make such regulation of charge as it may
deem necessary, not reducing the transportation of passen-
gers to the company below one dollar and fifty cents for
the whole distance, and rateably for any shorter distance.

Sec. 9. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of the
Western Shore be, and he is hereby authorised and di-
rected to invest annually, in some productive stock, all
and any premium s which may be derived from the sale
of the stock to be issued in pursuance of the first section

additional Directors of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail

timore and Ohio Rail Road company, passed at De-
cember session, eighteen hundred and twenty-seven, chap-
ter two hundred and nine, or in such other mode, and at
such other times as this General Assembly may hereafter
determine.

Sec. 11. And be it enacted, That the President and Direc-
tors of the Baltimore and Ohio Rail Road company, be and
they are hereby authorised and empowered to make to Mrs.
Rebecca Smith such allowance for the right of way, and
for the free use in perpetuity by the said company of her
bridge over the river Patapsco, as they may deem just
and equitable, or in their discretion to buy from her trus-
tees, and hold the said bridge.

eight section of the act entitled, a supplement to an act to
promote internal improvement by the construction of a
