shall be made upon such terms and conditions as determined
by the Board of Public Works, provided that a railroad switch
thereon giving access to the State Tobacco Warehouse is con-
structed ; and provided, further that the passage of this Act
shall not be deemed a ratification of any pre-existing agree-
ment made by the Board of Public Works for the sale of the
land described herein. The Board of Public Works is hereby
authorized to apply any part of the money consideration re-
ceived for the la.nd described herein to the construction of a
railroad switch, and the balance thereof sjiall be paid into the
general treasury of the State.
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted. That the Governor is
hereby authorized to execute the deed to convey the land de-
scribed in Section 1 of this Act, or any part, of the State's
interest therein.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act is hereby
declared to be an emergency law and necessary for the im-
mediate preservation of the public safety, and being passed
upon a yea and nay vote supported by three-fifths of all the
members elected to each of the two Houses of the General
Assembly, the same shall take effect from the date of its
passage.

CHAPTER 458.
AN ACT to authorize and request the State Roads Commis-
sion to construct a highway in Calvert County, between
the towns of Chesapeake and North Beach in Calvert
County, to connect with the State road at Mt. Harmony in
said county.

CHAPTER 459.
AN ACT to authorize and request the State Roads Commission
to construct a State road from Leonardtown to some point
on the Patuxent River, between Cashner's Wharf and
Forest Landing, in St. Mary's Comity.
