(Sub-Section 10). The term "child" and "children" shall
include posthumous children and adopted children, whether
members of the deceased employee's household at the time
of his accident or death or not, and shall also include step-
children, illegitimate children and other children, if such step-
children, illegitimate children and other children were mem-
bers of the household of the decedent at the time of the
accident or death and had received contributions toward their
support from such deceased employee during any part of the
six months immediately preceding the accident or death.
SEC. 6. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall
take effect on and after June 1, 1920, provided, however, that
nothing in this Act shall affect any rights arising from in-
juries or disabilities received prior to June 1, 1920.

CHAPTER 457.
AN ACT to authorize the Board of Public Works to sell the
land owned by the State in Baltimore City on the east side
of Charles street, adjacent to the State Tobacco Ware-
house ; and to apply part of the proceeds received there-
from to the construction of a railroad switch.
WHEREAS, The construction of a railroad switch would
greatly facilitate the operation of the State Tobacco Ware-
house in the City of Baltimore;
AND WHEREAS, The Board of Public Works has received an
offer for certain property owned by the State, part of the
consideration for which involves the construction of said
switch.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Public Works be and is hereby au-
thorized to sell the land in Baltimore, or any part of the.
State's interest therein, described as follows: Beginning for
the same on the east side of Charles street ninety-two feet, nine
inches south of Conway street, fronting southerly on Charles
street, ten feet, three inches and extending easterly of even
width to the west side of Light street, and being the southern-
most one-half of the land owned by the State there situate and
supposed to constitute an alley-way. The sale of the land
above described, or any part of the State's interest therein.
