account to be known as "The Pocomoke River Improvement
Fund." said fund to be expended by said Committee, on or
before January 1, 1922, for the purpose of cleaning out the
logs, brush and other debris from the river run of said Poco-
moke River from Snow Hill to the Delaware Line, said money
and work to be under the control of said Committee.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted. That the said Committee is
hereby empowered and directed to receive subscriptions and
contributions, and money from any source, to be used for said
purpose, to be deposited, as hereinbefore provided to the
credit of said fund, and paid out in like manner.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted. That if the Committee afore-
said, or their successors, shall neglect or fail to account for
any pay over to the said Committee, on or before July 1, 1920,
or any part of the money to be paid over under the provisions
of this Act, then the Committee shall be entitled to sue for,
and shall at once, cause suit to be brought against said Com-
missioners and Trustees, and their successors, and to recover
the amount due with interest at five per cent additional for
each month they shall fail to pay over after demand as a
penalty therefor, to be recovered in said judgment, said judg-
ment, if not paid at once, to bear like interest and be subject
to five per cent additional interest per month, as a penalty for
failure to pay same.

CHAPTER 403.
AN ACT to authorize and empower the County Commission-
ers of Queen Anne's County to borrow upon the faith and
credit of said county, a sum not exceeding five hundred
thousand dollars ($500,000.00), and to issue and sell cou-
pon bonds therefor, for the purpose of building and im-
proving public roads and bridges under the provisions of
Chapter 225 of the Acts of 1904. and amendments here-
tofore or hereafter passed thereto, known as the State Aid,
or Shoemaker, Road Law, or any other law that may be
passed by the State of Maryland whereby the county
shall not be required to pay or contribute more than fifty
per centum (50%) of the cost of building and improving
public roads and bridges in Queen Anne's County, and
