724 LAWS OF MARYLAND. [CH. 347

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the State Roads Commission of Maryland be
and it is hereby authorized to relocate and widen the Harford
Road, a State Highway in Baltimore County, from the north-
ern and eastern boundary of Baltimore City to Taylor avenue
in Baltimore County to an even width of 60 feet, and to set
apart 10 feet thereof on either side for sidewalks.

SEC. 2. Be it further enacted, That the State Roads Com-
mission of Maryland be and it is hereby authorized to acquire
any land needed for the widening and improvement of said
road under the procedure provided by law for the acquisition
of land for like purposes by the County Commissioners of
Baltimore County and benefits and damages may be assessed
to and against the persons benefited and damaged by such
widening and relocation to the same extent and in the same
manner as benefits and damages may now be assessed by law
by the County Commissioners of Baltimore County for the
relocation, widening and improvement of public highways of
said County, provided that nothing herein contained shall be
construed to authorize the State Roads Commission to expend
any money of the State of Maryland for such improvement.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from June 1, 1916.

CHAPTER 347.

AN ACT to return to Charles S. Sutherland a sum of money
paid for a State Insurance Broker's License which he has
not used.

WHEREAS, Charles S. Sutherland, on July 20, 1914, ob-
tained a State Insurance Broker's License from the State In-
surance Commissioner for the period from July 20, 1914, to
May 1, 1915, for which he paid to the said State Insurance
Commissioner the sum of sixty-four dollars ($64. ) and which
license he has at no time used; and

WHEREAS, the said Charles S. Sutherland notified the State
Insurance Commissioner on August 4, 1914, that he was not
able to use said license.
